Libraries are not arcades, and there are good reasons to show special consideration to others in a library. Like funeral homes or hospitals, libraries are places where inconsiderate guests really stand out. In a library, sharing is the expectation and the rule. Not only are books and other information resources shared, the space to look at them is shared as well. Sharing works best if both sharers consider the needs and desires of the other. In this video, inconsiderate children do not respect the needs and desires of other library patrons or workers, and make sharing the space and resources of the library nearly impossible. The considerate children recognize that they are merely one part of the broader network of sharing that takes place in a library.
